Welcome To My Madness!
I built this originaly to back up my inventory pictures on line but decided it would also be great for sharing it with anyone who is interested. Through out history we have been proud of our grand buildings and great architecture. For me the collection combines both my interest in history and architecture. Every building from Pharaohs pyramid to grandpas business tells a story about the people, times, and purpose for which it was built. The buildings above are three of my very best and favorite. The two arches are over 100 years old and the Temple of the Giant Jaguar is less than 10. Miniature buildings have been made for a long time, for many purposes, and out of many materials. With a few exceptions I have focused my collection on cast metal buildings but not cast iron. Please let me know your thoughts in the contact window below if you like.
One of my composition exceptions is models made by Timothy Richards in Bath, England. These building are cast in a very hard gypsum plaster and then hand carved. They are all very special structures done in exacting scale and detail. I think you will agree the work is very exacting.
New finds are always being added. I highlight them here so return viewers can quickly find out what is new.
